The Tasmanian Emergency Management Plan (TEMP) is the peak emergency management planning document in Tasmania and is maintained by the State Emergency Service. The TEMP describes the current governance and coordination arrangements, and roles and responsibilities for emergency management in Tasmania. It sets the framework for all-hazard emergency arrangements in Tasmania based on the requirements of State legislation, existing arrangements and accepted practices that support emergency management.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) maintains a range of plans that confirm health and human service emergency management arrangements.  The diagram below represents the current DHHS emergency management planning framework:
