The principal role of the State Health and Human Services Emergency Committee (SHHSEC) is to consider and give direction to health and human services related emergency management capability development. Another core function is to monitor and support development, review and implementation of emergency management arrangements across the Tasmanian health and human services system. The SHHSEC is supported by the following three (3) sub-committees:
- The Mass Casualty Management Sub Committee.
- The Public Health Emergencies Sub Committee.
- The Social Recovery Sub Committee.
