The Tasmanian Emergency Management Plan (TEMP) is the peak emergency management planning document in Tasmania and is maintained by the State Emergency Service. The TEMP describes the current governance and coordination arrangements, and roles and responsibilities for emergency management in Tasmania. It sets the framework for all-hazard emergency arrangements in Tasmania based on the requirements of State legislation, existing arrangements and accepted practices that support emergency management.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) maintains a range of plans that confirm health emergency management arrangements. Key plans include:

  •        DHHS Health Emergency Management Arrangements
  •        Tasmanian Mass Casualty Management Plan
  •        Tasmanian Public Health Emergencies Management Plan

These plans are directly supported by the arrangments described in these supporting sub-plans:

  •        Area Health Service Emergency Management Arrangements - including Hospital Code Brown Plans
  •        [Ambulance Tasmania Multi-Casualty Incident Plan|^TAS Multi-Casualty1.pdf]
  •        DHHS Emergency Coordination Centre Operating Procedures
  •        National Medical Stockpile Tasmanian Distribution Plan
